By using the Living Heritage website (this site) or the Living Heritage mobile app (together, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Services.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Living Heritage is a Project Bhaskar initiative, built and operated by Lake and Valley Creative Factory x Project Bhaskar (“we”, “us”, “our”). It's a walking companion for Ajmer, Pushkar and Kishangarh — this site introduces it, and the companion mobile app will let you explore places, read their histories, listen to bilingual audio guides, chat about what you're seeing, and plan a route between stops.

You may use the Services if you're able to form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you're under the age of 18, please only use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Where this site invites you to leave your email for early access, we store just that — your email address, a system-generated ID, and the time you signed up — so we can let you know when the app is ready. We don't ask for your name, phone number, or anything else, and signing up again with the same email doesn't create a duplicate entry. You can ask us to remove your email from the waitlist at any time — see “Contact us” below.

The Living Heritage app is available for Android on Google Play. When you use it:

• you don't need to create an account;
• it asks permission to access your location, so it can show your position on the map, suggest nearby places, and plan walking routes — it doesn't ask for camera, photo-library or microphone access; and
• it doesn't include advertising, analytics, or tracking of any kind.

The guide's chat replies and route suggestions are generated with AI. They can occasionally be wrong or incomplete, so please double-check anything important. If a reply is offensive or misleading, you can report it from inside the app.

These Terms apply to your use of the app, alongside any additional terms shown in the app itself.

We do our best to keep descriptions, histories, opening hours, entry fees and other practical details accurate and current, based on our own research and visits to each place. Even so, things change — please confirm opening hours, fees and access conditions locally before you visit somewhere.

Some of what you see is delivered with the help of services we don't operate ourselves: our content (place descriptions, photos, audio) is served from Sanity, our AI-assisted chat and route-planning features are powered by OpenAI's models through our own backend, distances and directions are calculated using OpenRouteService, and map tiles are provided by OpenFreeMap. Each of these has its own terms and practices, and we choose them because we trust them — but we don't control them.

The Living Heritage name and logo, and the design, text, photography and audio we've created for this site and the app, belong to us (or are licensed to us) and may not be copied, redistributed, or used commercially without our written permission. You're welcome to link to this site or share its pages.

Please don't use the Services to do anything unlawful, to interfere with how the site or app works, to scrape or copy content at scale, or to try to access parts of our systems you're not meant to.

The Services are provided “as is.” We don't guarantee they'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or exactly as described at every moment.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services, including from relying on information here while visiting a place in person.

We may update these Terms as the site and app evolve. If we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page — please check back occasionally.
