Our story
Every place in this app, we walked ourselves.
Living Heritage isn't scraped off the internet. Every fort, shrine and lakeside we cover, someone from our team stood in front of, camera in hand — then came home and did the slower work: writing the history, recording it in two languages, and tracking down the old photograph that shows what it looked like before.
The work behind every pin on the map
Walked there, in person
No place makes it into the app until someone from our team has actually stood at its gate.
Photographed it ourselves
The cover photo and gallery shots you see for each place are our own — not stock photography.
Researched its history
Every description is written from real research into who built it, when, and why it still matters.
Recorded it, in two languages
Audio guides narrated in both English and Hindi, so the story reaches whoever's listening.
Tracked down the old photograph
For places where one exists, we sourced a real archival photo to set beside today's.
Mapped the walking route
Stop-by-stop routes plotted from the ground, not just pins dropped on a map.
See it then
Victoria Jubilee Clock Tower, 1910 → 2026
Old photographs like this one don't come from a stock library — we sourced them ourselves, from archives and old collections, then paired each with a fresh photo of the same spot today. Drag the slider to see 1910 give way to now.

Why we're doing this
Ajmer and Pushkar deserve to be seen, not just passed through
Most visitors pass through Ajmer on the way to Pushkar, and never learn what they walked past. We built Living Heritage so that changes — so every fort, shrine and lakeside gets the attention, the story, and the visitors it deserves, and this corner of Rajasthan's heritage gets a little harder to overlook.
